Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ('Terms'). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms form a legal agreement between you and ALGIS ('Company', 'we', 'us'). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

Description of service

The Service provides AI-assisted security scanning of code, files, and URLs. It analyzes inputs for potential security vulnerabilities, exposed secrets, misconfiguration, and related issues, and returns a report with findings and suggested remediation steps.

The Service is provided 'as is'. It is a tool to assist with security review, not a guarantee of security. See the Disclaimers section.

Accounts

Some features require creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You may not impersonate another person or organization.

Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Acceptable use

You may only use the Service to scan code, files, or URLs that you own or have explicit, lawful permission to scan.

By submitting content for scanning, you represent and warrant that you own that content or have all necessary rights and permissions to submit it for security analysis.

You may not use the Service to:

Scan code or systems you do not own or have permission to scan.

Attempt to discover or exploit vulnerabilities in systems belonging to others without their explicit authorization.

Upload or transmit malware, exploits, or content designed to harm the Service or its users.

Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Service's underlying models, algorithms, or source code.

Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or usage restrictions.

Resell or redistribute the Service's output without authorization.

Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately for violations of this section.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, models, and documentation, is owned by ALGIS and protected by applicable intellectual property law.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

You retain all rights to the code and files you submit for scanning. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process that content solely to provide the Service to you.

The findings reports generated by the Service are provided to you for your use. You may share, export, and act on them.

User content and responsibility

You are solely responsible for the code, files, and URLs you submit. You represent that you have the right to submit this content.

You are responsible for acting on the findings in the security report. The report is advisory and does not constitute professional security consulting.

We are not responsible for any harm arising from your failure to remediate a vulnerability identified in a report, or from any vulnerability that the Service did not identify.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not warrant that the Service will identify all vulnerabilities in your code. No automated security tool is capable of finding every possible security issue. The Service is a tool to assist with security review, not a complete substitute for professional security assessment.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from malware or other harmful components.

The findings and suggested fixes provided by the Service are generated by automated tools and AI models. You should review all findings and fixes before acting on them. We do not warrant their accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall ALGIS, its directors, employees, or contractors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Changes to terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the 'Last updated' date.

For material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ALGIS is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction where ALGIS is established, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
